In the Doctoral School of Education and Society, following the decision of the Hungarian Accreditation Committee plenary of 28 October 2005, 2005/9/III/1. On September 1, 2005, the School started its training with two programmes, which have been running continuously since then: the History of Education and the Sociology of Education programmes form the basis of the School's operation, the latter including a specialisation in Romology:
- History of Education and Philosophy of Education
- Sociology of Education
- Educational Theory and Didactics
From the academic year 2023-24, we will also open an English language programme.
- Educational Theory and Methodology Doctoral Program
Our school is in the field of educational theory, but we have also given it a separate name: Education and Society. The name is intended to emphasise that the School's core members, subject leaders and teachers conduct their academic research in those areas of educational theory that are directly related to social phenomena and fields. This is true not only of the sociology of education and the history and philosophy of education, but also of our programmes in educational theory and didactics.
