Admission requirements
Students and lecturers of full-time BA, MA, MSc, MSc and PhD programmes at the University of Szeged, who accept the provisions of the Statutes and the Rules of Organisation and Operation (hereinafter referred to as the "Rules of Organisation and Operation"), participate in the public and regulated Membership Admission Procedure and sign the declarations required for admission, are eligible for membership.
The Membership Admission Procedure
The Admission Procedure is carried out by the College's Student Council. The General Assembly decides on the admission/rejection of applicants, taking into account the preliminary opinion of the Students' Council on the candidates.
During the Admission Procedure, the applicant is required to submit a motivation letter (Annex 1 to the Terms of Reference) to the Students' Council, which must contain the following mandatory information:
- profession/specialisation pair,
- description and justification of previous academic activities
- and reasons for application.
- The letter of motivation must be in the following format: 1 A4 page, Times New Roman, font size 12, 1.5 pt.
- In addition to the letter of motivation, the applicant must submit to the Admissions Committee the recommendation of the microgroup tutor.
- Once the documents have been submitted, the Student Council will conduct a personal/online interview with the candidate. During the admission interview, the members of the Student Council will either approve or reject the applicant's application.
If the applicant is successful in the admission interview, membership is established by signing the Application for Admission (Annex 2 to the Terms of Reference) and the Declaration of Intention to undertake academic activities in the SJHA (Annex 3 to the Terms of Reference).
During the Membership Application Procedure, the applicant must sign the Declaration of Intention to undertake an academic activity in the JHA (Annex 3 to the Terms and Conditions), in which the applicant undertakes to carry out one of the following academic activities during the semester of the start of membership:
- Scientific publication (workshop, journal article, study...etc.)
- Participation in a scientific conference (report of a presentation at the conference and certificate of participation in the conference). Requirements: 2 pages (A4).
- Conference presentation (presentation at any scientific conference). Requirements: presentation (ppt/pdf format), abstract (pdf format)
- Research plan (documentation and presentation of own research plan or research plan prepared by the micro group [in which the member is/is actively involved])
- Participation in conference organisation (certificate from the conference organising committee)
- Erasmus/study trip report (minimum 1 page (A4))
- Documentation related to pedagogical activities (e.g. lesson plan, lesson plan, case study, class game...etc.) and a reflection of at least 0,5 pages (A4)
- Community activities (e.g. organisation of a co-curricular programme, organisation and implementation of community activities...etc.)
- Other activities (to be submitted to the Student Council, which will forward it to the Executive Board for evaluation)
