Our short-term goals include consolidating the research group's profile at the intersection of evolutionary psychology and sexual psychology, continuing ongoing empirical studies, and launching new projects. We aim to strengthen existing international collaborations (e.g. with the University of Wrocław, the University of Alabama and the University of Texas at Austin) and to bring in new partners. In the short term, we also aim to publish our research findings in leading international journals and to integrate the research of doctoral students into the group's work.
Our long-term goals focus on exploring the evolutionary foundations of human sexuality and relationship dynamics in greater depth. We aim to build an interdisciplinary knowledge base that contributes to developing more comprehensive theoretical models of human sexuality. In the long run, we would like to make the research group one of the region's leading research centres in sexual psychology and evolutionary psychology, delivering relevant results not only in basic research but also in applied psychology (sexual health, relationship counselling, psychoeducation). We also aim to train and nurture young researchers to ensure the next generation of scholars and the continuity of our research tradition.
