2nd Campus Chess Cup

INVITATION TO CHESS TOURNAMENT

The Dean’s Office of the University of Pécs and the Students’ Union of the Faculty of Humanities of UP are jointly organising the

2nd Campus Chess Cup.

DATE: 18 March 2024 at 10 a.m.

VENUE: 6 Ifjúság útja, Pécs, the Aula of the Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty of Science

ELIGIBILITY: any and all enrolled students of the Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty of Science as well as faculty and staff To enter the tournament, participants are required to pre-register via email: btk.sakk@pte.hu

Registration deadline: 14 March 2024 at 4 p.m.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

Participants will play 3 minutes +2 seconds blitz games in the tournament.

The format depends on the number of entries:

round-robin for 1-10 entrants, 7-round Swiss system for 11-20 entrants, 9-round Swiss system for more than 20 entrants.

Tie-break: Buchholz score.

The winner will take the Campus Cup trophy home.

All interested parties are cordially invited.
