University of Pécs Student Recognised as Millennium Fellow, Class of 2025

For students
2026. February 23.

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is proud to share that Aidana Kabbassova, a student of International Relations at the University of Pécs, was selected as a Millennium Fellow for the Class of 2025.

Aidana applied for the United Nations Academic Impact and Millennium Campus Network’s Millennium Fellowship together with her Model United Nations team. She has also been actively involved in organising the Model United Nations conference at the University.

The Millennium Fellowship is a highly competitive, semester-long leadership development programme. In her cohort, more than 60,000 applications were submitted from over 7,500 universities worldwide. Only around 290 campuses — approximately four percent — were selected, and the University of Pécs was among them.

The programme has now concluded, and Aidana is an alumna of the Millennium Fellowship, Class of 2025. She continues her studies at the University of Pécs, where she remains an active member of the academic community.

Her achievement reflects both her personal commitment and leadership, as well as the University of Pécs’s engagement in international academic initiatives supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
