Semester start (2020/21 Fall) - Announcement of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences

Dear Student of our Faculty,

With regard to the current COVID-19 situation, we would like to inform you about the start of the fall semester in the 2020/21 academic year. In order to ensure your access to our study programs, we will deliver courses on campus with personal attendance for those who will be here in Hungary. For those, who are unable to travel to Pécs, course materials and online consultations will be offered to fulfill the requirements of the semester.

For Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship holders only:

 

We would like to further inform you that Tempus Public Foundation has a very strict regulation about postponing your studies. In order to keep your scholarship status, we suggest to start the semester either in person or online. Both options are supported by Tempus Public Foundation. In case of online participation, Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship covers only your tuition fee.


If you start the semester on campus with personal attendance (which we prefer), the following information applies to you:

  • Moving in into dormitories from 4th September, 2020.
  • The official start of the semester is the 7th September, 2020.
  • Courses will start on the 14th September, 2020.

If you take the courses of the fall semester online, the following information applies to you:

  • All the course materials will be available for you by 11th September, 2020.
  • Professors will agree on the scheduling of at least four online consultation sessions with you from 14th September, 2020.
  • The courses completed, knowledge delivered, credits earned are equivalent to courses completed with personal attendance.

With regard to quarantine and COVID-19 testing, we will keep you updated as soon as governmental and university decisions are made.
