Research Center for Social Inclusion and Social Economy

The main goal of the Research Center is to focus on the processes, issues and problems related to the social economy in the context of sustainable development and social catch-up, taking into account both domestic and international aspects. The Research Center – related to the priority directions of the Research Development and Innovation Strategy of University of Pécs – mainly deals with the regional and structural issues of complex rural development, employment, social integration and disintegration processes, as well as the quality of life. In connection with the global, regional and local challenges that are constantly present in the 21st century, with particular regard to labour market trends, as well as employability and sensitivity studies, our research aims at the multivariate indexing of territorial and temporal processes based on spatial econometric and deepdrilling qualitative investigation methods. Our new methodological approaches also provide an opportunity to explore international regional differences and factors related to the labour market.
