Aligned with the University of Pécs’ Research, Development, and Innovation Strategy, the research center examines complex processes of rural development, employment, social integration and disintegration, while also assessing quality of life and the image of Hungarians. In response to global, regional, and local challenges of the 21st century—particularly labor market and employability trends and sensitivity analyses—our research develops multivariate indices of territorial and temporal processes. This is achieved through in-depth analyses drawing on socio-economic and spatial econometric approaches. Our innovative methodologies also enable us to investigate international economic, social, and territorial disparities, as well as key factors influencing the labor market, employment, human resources, development, and innovation.
