The Main Projects of the Research Center
Questions surrounding the application of artificial intelligence and digital technologies across differentiated areas of welfare provision, with particular emphasis on healthcare, education, and social services. From 2022 to present.
The main objective of the research project titled “Issues Related to the Application of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies in Differentiated Areas of Welfare Provision” is to assess the current level of adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technologies, identify technological deficiencies and bottlenecks in national and international healthcare, education and social care systems, and formulate the related questions and dilemmas. Through our research activities, we seek to address the ethical, technological, social, economic and sociocultural issues associated with the application of artificial intelligence and digital technologies across various areas of welfare provision, including elderly care, the care of people living with chronic illnesses, primary and specialised child protection services, the social inclusion of disadvantaged groups, education and training. Particular attention is paid to safeguarding vulnerable individuals and social groups. Our aim is to develop policy recommendations and identify good practices that can facilitate the equitable, fair and sustainable integration of modern technologies into welfare provision while ensuring that such integration meets relevant human-centred considerations and expectations. The project has been ongoing since 2026.
