Exploring Trends in Cognitive Science (EXP27)
Conference Call
The Department of Cognitive and Evolutionary Psychology at the University of Pécs and the ViCE LAB research group are organising the international conference Exploring Trends in Cognitive Science (EXP27), which will take place on February 4–6, 2027.
The primary goal of the conference is to bring together Hungarian and foreign researchers working in the field of cognitive science and to encourage the exchange of knowledge and experience between different institutions and research groups.
During the conference, invited speakers from various fields will present their latest research findings. Additionally, there will be opportunities for researchers to share their work through poster presentations. We especially encourage early-career researchers, PhD candidates, and MA students to participate in the poster session, as it provides an excellent platform to receive feedback and connect with the broader research community. Furthermore, research groups will have the chance to showcase their research areas and current projects.
Prof. Dr. Benoît Bediou from the University of Geneva will contribute to the program with a keynote lecture. Additionally, Dr. Francesco Poli (University of Cambridge) and Dr. Tommaso Ghilardi (Birkbeck, University of London) will lead a methodological workshop. The presentation sessions will address various topics, including the role of digital technology in daily life and educational settings, cognitive development, neurodiversity, eye-tracking, and other physiological research methods. The session focusing on digital technology use will feature a contribution from Dr. Zsuzsanna Balogh, Research and Development Lead at BOOKR Kids, who will share insights from educational technology research and development. While the talk sessions will focus on specific areas, we also expect poster presentation submissions from a broad range of topics within cognitive sciences.
Abstract submission is now open for poster presentations. A limited number of oral presentation slots may also be available for selected submissions. The abstract submission deadline is 23 November 2026. Please submit your abstract in Microsoft Word format (.docx) using the attached template. The abstract should include all co-authors and follow the formatting guidelines provided in the template. Submissions can be uploaded via the following link: [Submission link]
Participation in the conference is free of charge, and no registration fee will be required.
