Help and support for students

When arriving in Pécs and registering in our program, you will be provided with the necessary help to settle in and to accommodate. The first week you will learn how to use our registrar’s system (Neptun), how to navigate our website and where to find relevant information for your studies (documents and deadlines, stipends and fees, etc.). The training is provided by the Student HUB and the International Office of the Faculty. The Hub will be there to organise events for students throughout their studies with the university, and the Office will take care of any administrative matters, so students are strongly advised to take the most the opportunities they offer, be it the welcome events or the campus tours, the mentor program or the help with housing, free psychological counselling or legal advice for free. The university’s support service is available for our international students as well.

The staff of the PhD program will provide orientation in connection with your studies upon arrival: you will learn about the structure of the curriculum, classes, expectations, and due procedure with us at the very beginning to know what to expect – of us and of yourself. We regularly keep in touch with and inform our student about upcoming events (workshops, seminars, visiting faculty and public lectures, bursary programs and conferences, etc.) in our own Teams group for PhD students. Some of our staff and regular visiting faculty (ERASMUS and Fulbright scholars) offer special academic support (e.g.: in academic writing and training in how to make the most of research facilities) upon individual or group request.

We try and take care as much of your well-being as we can.
