The primary task of the Social Studies Workshops systematization, analysis and focusing of social scientific and philosophical knowledge related to Roma population and communities, thus initiation and maintenance of the scientific discussion with the domestic and foreign partner research institutions, research workshops and experts.
Our target is to establish a joint platform, to create the frameworks, the directions and fields of cooperation, to collect, complete and make the list of the domestic and international organizations, workshops and research groups studying and cultivating this topic and to connect them to the work of the Romology Research Centre.
The Social Studies Workshop regularly represented itself at our annual Conference of Romologists, participated in the compilation and publishing of several publications and is taking part in the research projects of the Department of Romology and Educational Sociology in the recent years.
