About the Programme
The history of pedagogy and the philosophy of education are intertwined with the history of ideas, cultural and social history. The doctoral program includes research on ancient and medieval paideia, the study of institutional techniques, tools and methods of personal development in different historical periods, social and political contexts, both in ecclesiastical and secular institutions. Researches include the scholarly study of the work of outstanding educators, the history of educational institutions, and the philosophical foundations of various pedagogical trends.
