About the programme

The Educational Theory and Methodology Doctoral Programme deals with the process, issues and problems of teaching and learning. The Programme provides a broad interpretation of the concept of educational theory, and aims to investigate the characteristics of teaching, learning, educational organisation and management within and outside the school system, and at different types and levels of the school system. In addition to theoretical issues, we also attach particular importance to the investigation and development of the methodology of specific disciplinary areas and subjects, from early development through to higher education, and focusing mainly on the school system.
